Watch Penguins of Madagascar Online Free While it can be frustrating when Pixar to release unnecessary sequels, no animation studio resurfaced much more than a DreamWorks. "Shrek," the business model: the need to continue to do so until all of the good will of the franchise is poured and then throw in a spin-off really kill it. With the "Madagascar" series finally run out of steam, the time has come to give the penguin characters in the movie of their own. Why do you ask? Because children love them and buy toys, silly. When people responsible for "Madagascar" series was a wisecracking penguins poorly planned spin-off, they decided to make a spy photo. Hmm, I wonder where they got that idea? The plot is a bundle of gobbedlygook John Malkovich as the evil octopus, the so mad at the cuteness of penguins he them do all the little monster wants. Apparently, our four-gooders Penguin wires have not friendly to the idea. They go hand in hand with a collection of animals in the Arctic Lost Dreams (out of the wolf as the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch), to stop the octopus from performing evil plan. Of course, no one so much. It's all just an excuse to squeeze so much more expensive CGI slapstick gags and pop culture references to miss 95 minutes from the sugar binge. There are no publicly incorrectly appear with a film like "The Penguins of Madagascar. It is a very pleasant and the kids lap it. The problem is how thoroughly flush the whole thing. In Bennett Miller's new film Foxcatcher, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival today, we see an actor do something probably many of us didn't think he was capable of. Guided by Miller's careful hand, this actor does intelligent, understated work that will earn him raves and maybe some awards. Were it not such a hacky thing to say in a movie review, I might be tempted to call his performance a revelation. You may think I'm talking about Steve Carell, the comedian who's shed his antic shtick and applied some prosthetics to play John du Pont, the heir turned murderer whose obsession with wrestling and two of the sport's biggest stars gives this movie its chilling, sad story. Carell will likely earn a raft of praise for his deeply unsettling performance, but to my mind the real performance to talk about is Channing Tatum's. Yes, Channing Tatum, everyone's favorite hunk

 who can do comedy, action, and romance with equal aplomb. Here, playing wrestler Mark Schultz, Tatum shows us that he's also able to mute his inherent swagger and turn inward, communicating deep currents of pain and longing in subtle and intricate ways. Schultz was perpetually in the shadow of his older brother, Dave, even though both won Olympic gold medals in 1984. Mark wants to prove something to himself, to the world, to his brother, so badly that he's become a creature of a single instinct. At one point in the film, Mark tells du Pont that even his own victory was credited to Dave in some way, Tatum speaking in the guarded tones of a hyper-masculine guy who's not terribly comfortable expressing emotion, let alone his most closely held resentments. Tatum fills his scenes with this complex pathos through slight changes in posture and expression. The way Mark carries himself tells its own complicated story; he's athletically nimble and yet somehow weighted down, curling under a psychological burden that's forever pressing him into the mat. Playing Dave, Mark Ruffalo is also excellent, doing another riff on his soft-voiced sensitive guy. Dave loves his brother but is stymied by his personal torments. How can he alleviate his brother's pain when he's the unintentional source of it? As the man who comes between the brothers, Carell, slack-jawed and shuffling, is a rather terrifying vision of extraordinary wealth begetting, or certainly at least stoking, a dehumanized view of the world as purchasable, and thus easily controlled. Du Pont is desperate to be seen as a hero and champion of the sport he loves, and ensnares the talented Schultzes in his strange game of world-building by having them come train at the facility built on the massive

 estate that gives the film its title. Carell speaks in a clipped near-whisper, his eyelids drooping, making his eyes two black beads. He certainly transforms for the role, but I couldn't help feeling vaguely put off by the stunt craft of it all. His presence in the film, in this stylized and creepy role, is too showy, and too funny at times, in a movie that otherwise is simple and, despite its darkness, elegant. I'm also not sure I really buy Miller's last message to the audience, perhaps nudging us to see the deeper American meaning in this tragic story. I suppose you could view du Pont as the one percenters, megalomaniacally exploiting and destroying hard-working people who are simply trying to better their lives. But it's an unnecessary, and admittedly only lightly hinted at, thematic reach, as the movie's psychological inspections are fascinating enough. Still, this is my favorite film at the festival so far. Somber, smart, and deeply humane, Foxcatcher will likely do big things come (dreaded, anticipated) awards season. He has made revolutionary discoveries and has become an inspiration to the entire world. Making a movie about him is risky, since the filmmakers and its cast have such monumental expectations to fill. Even though The Theory of Everything is largely about his illness and the issues that it caused for those around him, it's even more so about the growing relationship that he shared with Jane. Anthony McCarten's adaptation of Jane Hawking's book truly does a wonderful job at capturing a young love that faced undeniable odds that weren't on their side. We truly get that "fly-on-the-wall" effect, as the conversations feel so utterly convincing. As we continue to see this relationship evolve, it doesn't take very long to develop a true connection with both of the roles. Even though we know the Hawkings' story, the journey is truly something worth experiencing at the cinema. Some may complain that Stephen's journey in being realized by the world as a genius isn't entirely realized. There isn't as much talk about his theories as some of his admirers may hope for, but this is a film that is meant to be about the central issues within this epic relationship that defied the odds. Fortunately, the film doesn't only treat its subjects with drama, as the picture has a good sense of humor. While we do witness Stephen and Jane's difficulties and frustrations, they occasionally make light of the situation. McCarten delivers some comedic elements through various sequences, such as when Stephen spends time with his university friends. There's a nice rhythm to the humor that makes it feel organic, rather than working against the dramatic core that the film possesses. This screenplay has its hiccups, but the balance of dramatic and comedic elements elevate the feature to a more believable level that truly make the audience feel as if we're watching the events first-hand. The third act of the film primarily focuses upon where Stephen and Jane ended up, and how fame has changed their lives forever.
